Master in Communication Leadership Requirements
- Applications are accepted for the fall term only. Application deadline is July 1st.
- Complete and submit a Drake Graduate Admission Application. Apply Online. Download Application. Request Application.
- Submit the non-refundable $25 application fee. (Students who have previously applied to Drake and paid the application fee are not required to pay the fee again.)
- Official transcripts from coursework completed at all colleges, universities or technical institutes attended should be sent from each institution to Drake University. Please request all transcripts be sent directly from the institutions to Drake University at one of the addresses below. Unofficial transcripts or transcripts marked “issued to student” will not be accepted. Drake transcripts will not be required.
- Official Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) scores for those who have been out of school less than five years.
- An interview with the Graduate Chair
- Three Letters of Reference
- Resume or Curriculum Vitae
- Portfolio Presentation
- A minimum of two years of professional, communication-related work experience is preferred.
- If you are an international student, or your native language is not English, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required. Scores dated within the last two years are acceptable and must be reported directly from the testing agency. A TOEFL score of 550 on the paper-based exam, 213 on the computer-based exam or 79-80 on the Internet-based exam is required for consideration of international student seeking admission into the program.
