Study Abroad

Gain new perspectives, explore other cultures and expand your world. Drake University’s study abroad program offers a variety of international programs on every inhabited continent, with learning opportunities in more than 60 countries. Interim, summer, semester and yearlong programs are available for students to study abroad at a reasonable cost. Students with or without foreign language background can study in a variety of countries.

  • Credits earned on approved programs apply towards a Drake degree.
  • Required grade point averages vary among programs.
  • Many Drake-affiliated programs area comparable in cost for tuition, room, and board to a semester or year at Drake.
  • Financial aid is available for study abroad, and the Office of Student Financial Planning reviews each student's package individually.
  • Study abroad programs offer a variety of living accommodations such as residence halls, apartments or family home-stays.
  • International internship opportunities are also available to Drake students.
