FINANCIAL AID

Need-Based Financial Aid

The average annual financial aid package for Drake students is $13,260 — making the actual cost of a Drake education competitive with public universities for many of our students.

A U.S. student is defined as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or other eligible non-citizen. All other students should select international.

A transfer student is defined as a student with any college/university coursework taken AFTER high school graduation.

In addition to its merit-based and non-need-based scholarships, Drake University considers new students for Drake grants based on a student's financial need through the filing of the FAFSA. These grants are renewable but may vary in amount depending upon the recipient's academic record and financial need. In general, Drake grants are available for a maximum of eight full-time semesters.
