Drake University Legacy Awards

Awards are based on a variety of criteria depending on the type of scholarship and are not based on financial need. PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL SCHOLARSHIPS ARE RENEWABLE IF REQUIRED ACADEMIC STANDING AND GRADE POINT AVERAGE ARE MAINTAINED. For students entering the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences merit aid is available only through the fourth year of the six-year program.

Drake receives consistently high marks for student achievement in and out of the classroom. (National Study on Student Engagement)

A U.S. student is defined as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or other eligible non-citizen. All other students should select international.

A transfer student is defined as a student with any college/university coursework taken AFTER high school graduation.

Drake University Legacy Awards honors full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students who are children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of Drake graduates.

The $1,500 annual award (one award per student) is not based on financial need, must be applied only to the cost of tuition and is renewable for up to eight full-time semesters. No separate application is required.
