When chicken noodle soup and cough syrup aren’t enough…

The American Republic Student Health Center provides a number of services at no cost to full-time Drake students. Staff consisting of nurse practitioners and registered nurses work closely with local physicians and health care professionals.

Health Center Services
  • Diagnosis and treatment of illnesses
  • Management of existing conditions
  • Contraceptive counseling and services
  • Health care education and counseling
  • STD testing

Additional services, such as annual physicals, immunizations and allergy injections, are offered for a fee.

Student Disability Services

Student Disability Services offers services to all Drake students with any disability including attention disorders; learning disabilities; visual, speech or hearing limitations; physical disabilities; chronic health problems; and psychiatric or emotional disabilities. Services available include coordination of classroom accommodations and campus accessibility to provision of note takers, scribes, and readers and referral to community resources.
