Three interesting things about Tom:
Why do you love Drake? The people here on campus – ranging from professors, students, and staff - genuinely care about how you are doing, what your plans are, and how they can help you move towards reaching your goals. Having come to Drake as a student not knowing anyone, it was great to be welcomed into an environment where you were always being encouraged by those around you to explore what you want to do.
What is your favorite thing to do in Des Moines? Trying new restaurants all over town is a wonderful way to explore the city and catch up with friends. In addition to the large amount of unique places to eat in Des Moines, the quality as well as quantity of its restaurants has only improved as the city continues to grow.
Advice for prospective students: Try to visit the campuses of the colleges or universities you are considering. Although you might be able to get a lot of information from home, taking the trip to campus can dramatically change the way you think about a school.
