At Drake, we offer financial aid that is designed to reward your academic achievement or talent in fine arts or athletics, and also to help meet your family’s level of financial need. You may find that you qualify for both merit-based and financial need-based awards. We make every effort to provide the most complete financial aid package to you in your first award notice.
The average Drake funded scholarships and grants awarded to international first-year students in fall 2012 was $14,460 per year. Scholarships are renewable if you continue to meet qualifying criteria, but additional awards are not usually available.
As an international student at Drake, you may apply for financial assistance based on financial need. These awards are renewable. Maximum eligibility reflects the total of any merit scholarship plus any need-based grant.
You may apply for need-based awards by completing the Drake University Application for Need-Based Aid form or the Foreign Student Financial Aid Application from the College Scholarship Service/College Board.
Drake's 2013-2014 Financial Certificate must accompany your financial aid application.
