The single best way for you to figure out if Drake is the place for you is to visit campus. While you're here, you can tour buildings, common areas, and green spaces, and spend time with faculty and students. You can even have some Drake-style fun by enjoying on-campus events, as well as some of the recreation and dining options available in Des Moines.
Experiencing what Drake has to offer firsthand will help you get a feel for who we are, and your visit will allow us to get to know you and talk with you about how Drake can help you reach your goals.
To schedule a visit, choose one of the options listed below or contact your admission counselor to discuss what options would be the best fit for you.
An individual visit has a much more flexible itinerary than group visits, with appointments offered Monday through Friday, year round. Most visits include a campus tour and a meeting with your admission counselor, but you can personalize your visit to fit your interests. By request, we can also set up appointments with professors in any academic department, coaches or staff members in other areas of interest. If available, we'll also treat you to lunch in one of our dining halls if you're on campus during lunchtime.

The campus (and most students) are usually fast asleep on Saturday mornings, but if you don't mind the quiet, this can be a great opportunity to check out Drake. Fall Saturday programs include an admission and financial aid overview, a Q&A with Drake students, and a campus tour. Spring Saturday programs are the same for sophomores and juniors, but high school seniors are scheduled with individual admission counselor appointments and campus tours. Everyone who visits on a Saturday is welcome to stay after the program for brunch in our dining hall (when Drake students begin waking).
Check out the campus calendar to see if you can catch a football game, basketball game, theatre production or concert on your own in the afternoon.
Space is limited on Saturdays, so it is recommended that you register early.
Confirmation information will be displayed after your visit is scheduled.
