Below are details about the program to make planning your visit to Drake as easy and enjoyable as possible.

Arriving On Campus

Drake's official address is:

2507 University Avenue; Des Moines, IA 50311

  • Campus Map: Visitors may park in the Olmsted Visitor Parking Lot, located near the intersection of University Avenue and 29th Street. The Olmsted Visitor Parking Lot is on the north side of University Avenue. A parking attendant will greet you and provide a parking pass from 7:45 a.m. – 8:15 a.m.
  • Program check-in is from 7:45 -8:15 a.m. and will take place in Levitt Hall, inside Old Main (located near the corner of 26th and University Avenue).

Program Details

If you have been admitted as an open enrolled student, please review the list of majors so that you can decide which academic session to attend. However, only students admitted into the pre-pharmacy program may attend the pre-pharmacy academic session.

Things to Do in Des Moines

  • Interested in attending a Drake athletic event? Free and discounted tickets are available for visiting students and families! Check out the athletic schedule online, and get your Drake Athletics Voucher for the game.
  • If you are in town on the evening of April 7, we invite you to attend a special event titled Religions of Des Moines: In Pictures and Words from 6–8 p.m. in the Turner Jazz Center on Drake's campus. This event is free and open to the public and showcases Drake student research related to local religions. The event will also feature conversation, food, and music.
