Regional Alumni Activities
Drake reaches out to alumni nationwide. In areas with high concentrations of Drake graduates, alumni are invited to brainstorm ideas for regional programming, coordinate activities and contact alumni in the area about parties, programs, and other events. Alumni Awards Dinner
Drake alumni are outstanding individuals. To celebrate that fact, each year the Alumni Association Board honors loyal, high-achieving alums with five awards: the Young Alumni Loyalty Award, the Young Alumni Achievement Award, the Alumni Loyalty Award, the Alumni Achievement Award, and the Distinguished Service Award. The entire Drake alumni community honors recipients at the annual Alumni Awards Dinner held on campus during Commencement Weekend. This year’s event will take place on Friday, May 16, 2008. Drake Relays
Now that you’re a member of the Drake National Alumni Association, you can return to campus and enjoy the Relays “alumni style”. Special events include class reunions, campus tours, community events, and spontaneous merrymaking with hundreds of fellow alumni.
Bulldog Bashes
These are informal local gatherings where you can catch up with old friends, meet new ones, and find out who in your area has Drake ties. For a list of the 2008 Bulldog Bashes, click here.
Class Reunions
Reconnect with the people and places that changed your life. Once upon a time you lived and learned together; reunions are great opportunities to reunite with old friends, celebrate memories and visit your alma mater.
Drake’s cluster reunion plan enables alumni to reconnect with friends in other graduating classes during Drake Relays Weekend, while the 50-Year Club celebrates at Drake during Commencement Weekend in May.
