Plan a Bulldog Bash!

It's that time of year again for planning your local Drake Bulldog Bash!

As a refresher, planning a Bulldog Bash is a very easy process!

1.  Pick a date--Since Bulldog Bashes are such a great way to reminisce and meet up with Drake Bulldogs in your neighborhood, what better way to welcome recent Drake graduates to the area!

Connect with the other Bulldog Bash planners in your area and choose a date that works for your community.  We will e-mail you with the names of the other planners in your city so you can get in touch with them and collaborate on this project.

Please aim for a date in late May or early June to give our graduates time to relocate and join you at your Bash.

2.  Pick a venue--Choose a local place to hold your Bash.  The best places have been local restaurants and bars because of their come-and-go atmosphere and because they encourage mingling and chit-chat.

If you have never held a Bash in your area before or you cannot remember how many alumni usually attend, just e-mail us at the Alumni Office at bulldog.bash@drake.edu and we will help you out.

Make sure to call the venue and reserve a space for your date.  Be sure to ask about room rental fees because there is no budget for this event, but let them know that the alumni will be purchasing their own appetizers and/or drinks.

3.  Send in your event information for the Bulldog Bash invitation by FEBRUARY 1 if possible.  Please include the names, phone numbers and/or e-mail addresses of all committee contact people, the date of your Bash, and the name of the venue, including its address and phone number.  The invitation will include information for ALL of the Bashes and will also be posted on your alumni website.

We understand that this deadline sounds early for an event in May/June, but we need to compile all of the event details for all of the Bashes and have the invitations printed and mailed in plenty of time for everyone to make arrangements to attend.  This invitation will also be given to all 2007 graduates so they can attend as well!

As the party date approaches, we will send you a party box with Bulldog table tents, sign-in sheets, an event recap form, and other party goods for your use.  After the event, all you need to do is simply mail back the recap form and sign-in sheets along with any pictures in a prepaid envelope that will be provided.
