How Your Gift Helps Drake Students

There are many ways your gift can impact Drake University - whether you make an unrestricted gift of support, or designate your gift to your favorite college, department, or program. Regardless of how (or how much) you choose to give, your contribution to Drake University affects our students lives tremendously by making these things possible:

  • Drake dedicates approximately 1/3 of its budget toward scholarships and financial assistance. Over 95% of all undergraduate students receive some sort of financial support.

  • Making sure students have the best classrooms, labs, studios, study spaces, residence halls, libraries, athletic and recreational facilities.

  • Over the last few years, Drake has been able to reinvest more than $3 million in additional compensation which enables us to recruit and retain the most talented faculty.

  • Drake is working toward having a career service staff member in every College or School. They will work with the students and those business or organizations for internships and employment opportunities.

  • Helping provide a great academic experience for Drake's students.
