Black Hills, South Dakota

July, 2002

In July, the family took a week off and headed for South Dakota's Black Hills. The twelve-hour drive didn't even seem that bad, spread over two days, taking prerecorded Spanish lessons, and listening to Phillip Pullman's The Amber Spyglass on tape. Plus, there was always The Chipmunks. We spent most of the time camping in Custer State Park. Some pictures from Custer:
