2007 Madrigal Dinners

You're invited to central Iowa's most unique and unforgettable holiday celebration. The Drake University Department of Music will present its eighteenth Christmas Madrigal Dinners on December 8 and 9, 7:00 p.m., in the Olmsted Center. Tickets will go on sale on November 1, 12:00 noon, in the Fine Arts Box Office (271-3841).

You'll be regaled by strolling minstrels, jugglers, dancers, and even a wench or two@ The Drake Chamber Choir, conducted by Dr. Aimee Beckmann-Collier, will present the after-dinner concert. The dinners include the traditional boar's head, wassail bowl, and flaming figgy pudding processionals, plus a meal fit for our royal guests. The meal includes Cornish game hen, garlic mashed potatoes, spinach salad, baked apple, scones, figgy pudding, and wassail.
