The Drake Chorale is a select women's ensemble of 30-36 singers, under the direction of Barbara Sletto. The choir recently sang with the Des Moines Symphony and frequently has collaborated with other collegiate womeon's ensembles, as well as the Seoul Women's Chorus of South Korea. In February 2009 the Chorale will sponsor a festival featuring Sigurd Johnson of St. Olaf College.

Singers in the Chorale are both music majors and students majoring in academic disciplines in every College of the University. They include first-year students through seniors. Auditions for the Drake Chorale take place in April for returning students and for new students in the weekend preceding the start of the fall semester.
