Bitten by the New York bug, Ms. Brust joined the staff of Jazz at Lincoln Center in 2003. Since then, she has contributed to the campaign to open Frederick P. Rose Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center's new $128 million dollar performing arts venue in the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle. She currently handles tour press for the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis as well as numerous educational events for children and adults including the nationally renowned Essentially Ellington High School Band Competition and Festival.

On January 20, 2005 she launched her own management and publicity company, Encounter Entertainment (EE). Through EE, she handles tour press for all kinds of musicians. Clients included Wess “Warmdaddy” Anderson and Eliane Elias

Ms. Brust first heard the tenor player Dexter Gordon in 1998 and never quite recovered. She continues to play the saxophone though is rarely heard outside of her apartment. She has taken advantage of the opportunity to study with many of the amazing saxophone players who call New York City home.
