Central Mission of the Organization:

The Iowa Peace Network promotes peaceful resolution of conflict. Its philosophy is grounded in Christian faith and principles. The ISN works on issues of disarmament, conscientious objection, and conflict resolution. ISN has organized a Muslim-Christian dialogue program and offers "Help Increase the Peace" conflict resolution workshops to schools, civic groups and others.

History of the Organization:

IPN was founded in 1976. It arose out of member's concerns and experiences during the Vietnam War era. IPN has  1500 members statewide. Church affiliates include the Church of the Brethren, Mennonite Church, United Methodist Church, and the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).

Membership:

$15 annual fee for individuals
