Central Mission of the Organization:

To promote international understanding and awareness of global issues by encouraging personal relaitons across nations. Groups of Middle and Senior High School students visit other countries (e.g., Australia, Europe) during the summer. ICIU members interview these students in January.

History of the Organization:

Founded by President Eisenhower. Headquarters in Kansas City. In Iowa, People to People works thorugh and with the Iowa Council for International Understanding.
