Biochemists can find careers in a wide range of applications,
including positions in academics and industry. They pursue research
in drug, food, agriculture, environmental, clinical, and immunological
problems or basic research in proteins, metabolism, nucleic acids
to name but a few. Because it is at the intersection of a number
of growing disciplines it is highly adaptable. They can also
pursue all the cross-over careers described later for the BCMB
BA programs but here are described as PhD options.
