Protection of intellectual property is currently an extremely hot area. Companies need scientists who can understand the complicated sciences and translate them in a legal framework. These professionals are needed to deal with patents, licensing, collaborative research agreements, and other transfers of intellectual property. They need excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in research teams.
