Research Interests:

My research interests encompass avian coloration and ecology.  Much
of my research uses information on phylogenetic relationships to study evolution of
characteristics and morphological features of birds.  My primary research is with New
World Blackbirds, focusing on plumage color evolution, niche evolution, and visual
discrimination of colors.
