Modern Language Association
This link takes you to MLA's guide to graduate study in English, Comparative Literature, and modern language study. The guide provides information about admission procedures, program requirements, financial aid/teaching assistantships, and job placement.

Howard 302 (Howard Hall Student Lounge):
In this room, you will find departmental files on graduate study (in the file cabinet, alphabetized by school) . You are welcome to browse through the flyers, program descriptions, and catalogs we have collected from most (if not all) of the schools offering graduate degrees. Most of this information has been collected in the past couple of years, and is fairly current. There is also coffee, tea, and hot chocolate!

Library:
The library also has a collection of university catalogs that describe graduate programs.

The Career Center:
The Career Center can provide you with information about the exam dates and schedules for the GREs, as well as Miller's Analogy, LSAT, MCAT, and so on. To visit the Career Center Website, just CLICK HERE!

The English Faculty:
Talk with your advisor or an instructor about your curiosity, interests, and plans. We have all been to grad school, we regularly evaluate applications from those coming out of grad school, and we remain in professional contact with colleagues teaching at grad schools.

Alumni:
Several recent Drake graduates are currently in grad school at a variety of institutions and programs. If you know someone in grad school, he or she would probably not mind talking about the experience.
