Sue Wright received her BA in sociology at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA and her Masters degree in sociology from the University of Missouri -Columbia. After teaching at Radford College in Radford, Virginia for three years, she returned to the midwest to complete her Ph.D. in sociology at Iowa State University in Ames. Professor Wright joined the faculty at Drake in the fall of 1975 where she has taught courses in social science statistics, social theory, and social inequality, with an emphasis in race and ethnicity, economics and power. She is past director of the Drake University Women's Studies and Multicultural Studies Programs. Professor Wright is the author of the text Social Science Statistics, in addition to several articles. She served for as Interim Dean then Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and now is Associate Provost with responsibility for institutional research, the Drake University self-study, and other activities in the academic affairs area. |
