Applications for funding for any of the Humanities Center Programs must be submitted for approval by the Board. Applicants are encouraged to discuss ideas for proposals with the Director or with any members of the Board prior to formal submission.
See programs listed to the left for requirements and due dates for specific programs.
Applications should include:
- A standard application form listing the projected costs. Click here to access web-based application form.
- When requesting support for travel, include an itinerary noting your length of stay.
- When submitting a proposal to bring someone to campus, include both a schedule for the visit and a plan for publicizing it well. When the visit is to include a lecture for a large public audience, the Board suggests that you also consider applying for partial funding from the Iowa Humanities Board (the IHB application is only two pages and can be done in an hour or two). For the IHB application to be successful, however, it has to be submitted well in advance of the proposed event.
