It's my goal as a teacher to see students grab hold of the learning process and make it their own. I only see students three hours a week -- that's not much time to teach. However, if students see learning as something they can actually do a lot of themselves, then learning is bound to continue not only outside the class but after graduation...

I've been at Drake now for two and a half years and I have been fortunate to see that happen in students' lives.
