The Drake Physics and Astronomy
department offers one or more Crusinberry and/or Helmick scholarships to
entering first year students. These have values of up to $4,000 and are annually
renewable for four years, subject to satisfactory student performance.

Final decisions on scholarships for students entering Drake in the Fall semester
are expected to be made by the end of April.
Crusinberry and Helmick scholarship applications AND recommendations from teachers and counselors are due no later than April 1.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The department is unable to offer scholarships to
students who have not already applied to Drake. Application for a scholarship
does not count as application for admittance to Drake University. Please,
