Drake University Undergraduate Science Collaborative Institute (DUSCI) 
The Drake Undergraduate Science Collaborative Institute (DUSCI) promotes a culture of scholarship among students and faculty in science and math. Consistent with Drake University's mission, DUSCI actively supports collaborative student/faculty research experiences, strives to increase scientific literacy, and provides opportunities to engage the larger community in science and math.

Center for the Humanities
The Center for the Humanities encourages excellence in Humanities research, teaching, and campus and public programming at Drake University. Housed in the College of Arts and Sciences, the Center serves the entire campus by initiating Humanities-centered projects and activities and by funding proposals made by faculty and students. The Center strives not only provide monetary support, but also to contribute to an environment of vibrant, ongoing, and collaborative inquiry.

Writers and Critics
Writers and Critics series brings both established and emerging fiction writers, poets, essayists, historians, artists, and scholars to the Drake campus to give public talks and readings, meet with students, and attend classes. The Writers and Critics series is sponsored by Drake's English Department and Center for the Humanities.

On Wednesday, April 16, Drake University will host a special program for language immersion students from Merrill Middle School to celebrate Pan American Day. The students will participate in Drake Spanish courses in the morning and have the opportunity to celebrate Pan American dance and music at a performance by Drake students in Olmsted Center in the afternoon.
