Costuming Lab
  Thea-031 - ( 302 Fall or 402 Spring )

* All Costuming students are required to register for 1 credit hour of Lab in the same semester they are registered for Costuming. A separate grade is given for each, Costuming and Lab.

* Students are required to work a minimum of 60 lab hours in the semester. 60 work hours will guarantee a minimum grade of C.

* Working more than 60 hours, exceptional quality of work, and good attitude are all factors that could elevate your grade standing.

* Lab is open Monday through Friday 3-5:00 p.m. - Occasionally there will be a Saturday Work call that you will be required to attend for either the morning or afternoon session.

* You will be assigned times / days to work. Once set, it is expected that you will work your schedule as assigned. Illness, death, or other emergency situations are the only excused absences from lab.

* Avoid scheduling advisor meetings, registration sessions, doctor appointments or other conflicts during lab time. LAB is a class.

* Failure to report to lab as assigned 2 or more times will result in being dropped from the class with a grade of F.

* Being tardy more than 1/2 hour will be counted as an unexcused absence for the day.

* Occasionally, there is a light work day and you may be asked to leave early. If this occurs, you will receive full hour credit for the time you were scheduled to work.
IE: if you were to work 3-5, you may record the full 2 hours even though you may have only worked for 15 minutes.

* Hours are to be recorded daily in the Costume Shop Work Log book. The log book will be checked periodically by a costume shop employee, and initialed by the lab supervisor.

* Lab time is to be used efficiently. It is the responsibility of the student to seek work and work at a steady pace.

* Technical lab assistants are available to help you with questions and skills. Use them and respect them.
