MAKEUP MORGUE GUIDELINES:

A morgue is an organized collection of photographs, clippings, postcards, etc. (divided into categories that you use as makeup reference tools. The project is ongoing throughout the semester and should be viewed as a project that could continue to expand beyond this term. It should not only be a place to accumulate your research and documentation of your makeup designs, but also a source of information and inspiration for other projects.

FORMAT:

3 Ring binder or expandable photo album with laminate/ magnetic pages
Labels for categories and individual labels on all photos possible
All morgue entries should be color - and no smaller than 1” square.
Examples can be clippings from newspapers, magazines, posters, postcards, actual photos or color printouts from the Internet .
MORGUES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITH CLIPPINGS FROM BOOKS !

REQUIRED CATEGORIES:
Minimum requirement of 10 different subjects per category. Some categories require 10 of EACH male and female.

YOUTH ( Male and Female)
20’s and 30’s (Male and Female)
Middle Age (Male and Female)
Old Age (Male and Female)
Hair Styles (Male and Female)
Facial Hair
Facial Parts (Eyes, Foreheads, Noses, Mouths, Teeth)
Period Fashions
Disfigurements, scars and wounds
Animals
Non-Realistic / Fantasy
Others (Ethnic features, Occupational tendencies, etc.)
Characters /Projects - to include your completed makeup charts & photos of work

MID TERM REVIEW OF MORGUES: See your syllabus for exact date.

COMPLETE MORGUES DUE: on the last day of classes. They will be evaluated and available for pickup on the day of the final exam/project.

This project is worth 20% of your final grade for the semester.
