Drake Law Program: "50 Years from Loving to Today: The Role of Lawyers in Tackling Racial Injustice" [Academics]

At 4:30 p.m., hear about legal issues in Loving and current civil rights litigation and legislative initiative in Iowa. At 5 p.m., watch the 2011 documentary “The Loving Story.” Discussion to follow.

DUSCI Science Colloquium: Life After Drake with John Vermedahl (AS '02) [Academics]
06:00 PM - 09:00 PM @ Harvey Ingham 135 - Using the now retired Space Shuttle and the flight of STS-93 as a case study, this presentation will discuss the role a flight controller has in preparing for a space flight and in making a successful space flight from liftoff through landing. Furthermore, the presentation will provide an overview of the various training methods used to prepare Astronauts and Flight Controllers for upcoming space flight
