Work-Study Jobs in Non-Profit & Government Agencies

The Community Service Program is a Federally funded program that offers work-study positions in non-profit and government agencies.  The Community Service program aims to improve the quality of life for community residents.    Only students with work awards may apply for Community Service positions.
If you accept a Community Service position and have not been previously employed at Drake, you must complete federal and state employment forms.  Forms may be completed at the Professional & Career Development Services office at 107 Old Main.  You will need to bring documentation with you for employment eligibility and identification purposes.  Forms can be completed on the date of hire up to three days after beginning work.

Description:  Intern will help with the Resource Development Team for at least 1 year with the possibility of 2 years.  This intern will be supervised by the Marketing Coordinator and will assist with a variety of duties.  Intern will respond to all incoming phone, email, and website volunteer inquiries about the program.  Intern will also promote BBBSCI and recruit volunteers at local business and civic fairs.  Additional responsibilities including writing and distributing press releases to local media and assisting with the design of marketing materials such as the BBBSCI newsletter and assist with updating the BBBSCI website.  Experience with Design Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop are required.  Additionally, this requires good writing skills, organized, and self-motivated students.  Student must be at least a sophomore and have the ability to work some day hours.   To apply, submit cover letter and resume.
