Career Services

‌Professional and career development is an important part of your Drake education that begins your first year on campus. Before you graduate, you will have a solid foundation of academic achievement, interview and internship experiences, and the skills and knowledge to be successful in your field of choice. We encourage every student to pursue internships and provide a number of tools and avenues to do so. In fact, most business students complete more than one major related experience prior to graduation.

Beyond the classroom, the CBPA Professional and Career Development Center (PCDC), sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank, is an important resource available every weekday for undergraduate and graduate business students. The center is located in Aliber Hall, Room 201, and hours are Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

PCDC services include:

  • Résumé and cover letter reviews
  • Individual appointments for career exploration
  • Mock interviews
  • On-campus recruiting
  • Career events
  • Job shadows
  • Networking events
  • Online internship and job posting board

We are currently working on our 2015-2016 programing. If you are an alum or part of an organization that would like to participate, please contact the Career Development staff at or call 515-271-3142.
