Buchanan Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership

You’ve got big ideas. Maybe you want to start a boutique featuring the latest couture from Paris. Or perhaps you’re itching to revolutionize society with the next big tech gadget. You can get your start through Drake’s Buchanan Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.

Even if you’re not interested in starting a business, you’ll need to think like an entrepreneur no matter what your desired profession may be. Every industry, every career demands entrepreneurial people focused on solving problems and thinking innovatively. It’s not about thinking inside or outside the box; it’s about breaking down old boxes and building new ways to connect customers and value. The Buchanan Center gives you the fundamental skills and the inspiration to prosper in these challenging, rapidly changing times.

The Buchanan Center, which is housed in the CBPA, offers Drake’s major in entrepreneurial management  as well as an entrepreneurship minor, which is geared toward non-business majors. In both programs, you’ll collaborate with other aspiring innovators and connect with area business owners and Drake alumni both inside and outside of the classroom.  A variety of other programs  for the Center provide cocurricular activities designed to provide practical hands-on experience.
