Developing EDMA Courses

This page has been developed to provide supports to help you when developing your course syllabus. However, the AEA for which you are teaching is your main contact. The information provided here is specific to Drake University Continuing Education & Professional Development graduate credit. 

• Grading Scale - As of July 1, 2015, the complete grading scale (A, B, C, D, F) must be used for all classes offered for Drake graduate credit.
• Hour Requirements - For each hour of graduate credit offered, there must be a minimum of 15 instructor-led hours and 30 hours of work outside of class. Please keep in mind you need a total of 45 hours per credit hour, thus, if the instructor-led portion of your course meets for more than 15 hours you may count any time past the initial 15 contact hours, towards the out of class work.
