Course Description
Middle School and High School Health: Building a 21st Century Health Curriculum will help educators to revise and enhance their health program. Students are guided through an eight-week course of various readings, viewings, responses, and assignments to further increase their knowledge and awareness of health-related topics. Topics covered are Mental/Emotional Health, Stress/Suicide/Self Harm, Personal Wellness, Public and Community Health, Abstinence/Reproduction/Birth Control, and High-Risk Behaviors. By the end of the course, you will have the strategies and methods to revise your curriculum and apply these techniques in your own teaching setting to help your students make healthier, life-enhancing decisions.
