Video Courses for Teachers

Drake University Continuing Education & Professional Development partners with Quality Educational Programs, Inc. to provide 3 credit graduate level courses in a video correspondence format. These courses provide K-12 educators with practical content in a convenient manner. You may enroll in a maximum of 12 graduate credit hours in one semester.

Always check in advance to make sure you can use these courses/credit in the manner you wish. Most use credits from QEP courses for:

  • Renewal of teaching certificates. 
  • Advancement on local salary schedules. 
  • Elective credits in graduate degree programs (check in advance with your advisor). 

You may enroll in a maximum of 12 graduate credit hours in one semester through Continuing Education & Professional Development.

Fall Registration

In an effort to improve services to our students, registrations for QEP courses are now being taken by Drake University. Click on the title of the course in which you would like to register. This will take you to our online registration system. You will need to create a username and password to enroll. You will use this same system to upload your completed coursework. Important Transcript Information: The official semester designation on your transcript will be the semester in which you register/enroll for a video course.   The official  transcript will list the course and grade in the semester in which you register/enroll for a course, not the semester in which completed course work is submitted.

At this time we cannot accept registrations from the following: Washington D.C.

Expedited Grading

The Drake Distance Learning Center does offer expedited grading. We will grade your materials and report a letter grade to our Registrar within 5 business days after receipt of your course work in our Distance Learning Center. The expedited grading fee is $90.00 per course. You must place the Expedited Grading Form on top of your course work so it will be clearly visible.
If you are in urgent need of your grade you may contact Student Records to have your transcript sent overnight. For more information call 1-800-44 DRAKE ext. 3091.
