A task force appointed by the provost has developed a position description for the Associate Provost for Campus Equity and Inclusion. The position will fulfill the recommendation put forth by the Strategic Diversity and Action Team, based on the results of the Campus Climate Assessment. Members of the campus community are invited to review the position description and offer feedback via this Qualtrics survey—the description is provided in the survey. During the 2014–2015 academic year, Drake undertook a vital and relevant climate assessment, which culminated with a campus-wide survey in February 2015. Now, it's time to turn those results into action.
In March 2016, the Strategic Diversity Action Team (SDAT) released its recommendations on action steps to move the University forward: Drake University Campus Climate Project 2016–2017 Actions Steps/Priorities
These recommendations are based on the climate assessment survey and the findings from the Next Step Forums, which more than 300 faculty, staff, and students participated in. A Summary of Needs and Commitments was provided to SDAT from which to make its final recommendation.
