The Office of University Communications (UC) advances the image and reputation of the University. We do this by overseeing the University’s integrated communications strategies and providing effective, results-oriented communications services to clients across campus.

When you work with UC, you benefit from our deep understanding of all areas of communications. Our services are free of charge and provide you with professional consultation and high-quality print and electronic materials. We work collaboratively with all clients, capitalizing on your important insights into your target audience and objectives while drawing on UC staff’s creative perspectives and innovative ideas to develop the best communications strategy to reach your constituents.

The staff develops comprehensive communications strategies to help University clients effectively deliver reputation-defining messages that reinforce Drake’s identity to the wide range of constituencies the University serves. The UC team partners with faculty and staff in each of Drake’s schools, colleges, and administrative offices to determine key ideas and themes, target audiences, and appropriate communications vehicles, including brochures, ads, websites, news releases, and social media.
