Employment Opportunities

The Office of Community Engaged Learning offers multiple paid employment opportunities for students throughout the year.

Service Learning Ambassadors
Service-Learning Ambassadors (SLAs) are students committed to working with service-learning and community engagement. Each SLA works with a community partner on a specific project in which Drake students can be involved. This year, SLAs are focusing on food recovery, the Sprout Community Garden, Global Service Learning, and College Access. We also hire a graphic design and social media coordinator and Community Engaged Learning assistant. SLAs commit to working 6-8 hours a week on their project, working to plan and organize the event/project, recruit Drake students, and perform follow-up.

Positions are for the full academic year and applications typically come out in February for the next academic year. Positions for the 2018-2019 academic year are full.

Depending on funding and availability, the Office of Community Engaged Learning hires an Undergraduate Research Assistant to focus on a particular project.

More information to come for Fall 2018.
