Families and Parents

Parents and caregivers of Drake University students are sometimes interested in the services we offer at the University Counseling Center. We hope we have provided information on this web site that will answer your questions. If you have questions that are not addressed here, or you would like to consult with one of our mental health counselors, then please give us a call at (515) 271-3864.  However, please note that we are unable to share your student’s medical information without a signed release by the student.

How We Help:

All full-time, currently enrolled students at Drake University are eligible for services at the University Counseling Center. Our staff works with students on a short-term basis working towards managing personal, career and educational concerns which may interfere with their academic progress. We are staffed by 2 full-time licensed mental health counselors, 2 part-time counselors, and one intern.  The UCC is committed to providing effective services and promoting the personal growth of Drake University students.
