Families and Caregivers

Parents, caregivers, and families of Drake University students are sometimes interested in the services we offer at the University Counseling Center (UCC). Parents, caregivers, and family members cannot call for an appointment on behalf of your student unless they are a minor and you have a release to do so.

If you have questions that are not addressed here, or you would like to consult with one of our mental health counselors, then please call (515) 216-5100.  Due to confidentiality, we are unable to share your student’s medical information without a signed release by the student.

How We Help:

All currently enrolled students at Drake University are eligible for services at the University Counseling Center. Our staff work with students on a short-term basis, working towards managing personal, career, developmental, and educational concerns which may interfere with their academic progress and overall well-being. The UCC is committed to providing effective services and promoting the personal growth of Drake University students.

Navigate to Counseling & Services to learn more about how your student can make an appointment.
