Frank Cable

Background:
Frank Cable, PH’65 joined the South Sacramento Pharmacy in 1969 after spending 2 years in the U.S. Army as a pharmacist.  He purchased the store in 1973.  Mr. Cable is a founding member and president of Leader Pharmacies of Northern California, a mutual benefit co-op of independent pharmacies in the area.   He is a founding member of the North Franklin District Business Association (1984) and has served as president since 1990.  Previously a member of the GNP National Advisory Board for Bergen Brunswig, he is currently serving on the Leadernet National Advisory Board for Cardinal Health.  He served as president of the Sacramento Valley Pharmacists Association and is currently a member of the CPhA’s insurance committee.  Frank has served as a preceptor for UCSF’s pharmacy students for over 25 years.  Mr. Cable has continued his interest in educating future pharmacists by being a founding member of the California Northstate University College of Pharmacy and serves on their Board of Directors.  In 2012, Frank Cable received the Ken Wurster National Community Leadership Awards for Pharmacists from Cardinal Health.
