Miesner, PH'07, Allen, Koenigsfeld, Wall Receive IPA Poster Presentation Award
The Iowa Pharmacy Association (IPA) is pleased to announce the 2008 Iowa Pharmacy Foundation poster presentation recipient is The Effect of Sample Medication Restrictions on Prescribing Patterns at a Private Internal Medicine Clinic which was presented by Andrew Miesner, Pharm.D., PH'07; Dan Allen, M.D. Carrie Koenigsfeld, Pharm.D., Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice; and Geoffrey Wall, Pharm.D., BCPS, CGP, Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice.
The Poster Presentation Award recognizes one original project each year that advances the practice of pharmacy in Iowa. Poster abstracts are submitted prior to the IPA Annual Meeting and are utilized to judge award nominees. The final award selection is based on the overall poster presentation. Posters are judged on originality/innovation, reproducibility, impact on the profession, presentation and methodology.
Posters were exhibited and displayed during the Exhibit Hall of the Iowa Pharmacy Association’s Annual Meeting which was held June 20-22, 2008 in Des Moines. The winning poster received a plague from the Iowa Pharmacy Foundation.
