Steph Swain, P2, Selected as the 2008 Max W. Eggleston Executive Intern in Association Management


DES MOINES (April 14, 2008) The Iowa Pharmacy Association (IPA) is pleased to announce that Steph Swain, a student pharmacist from the Drake University College of Pharmacy has been selected as the 2008 Max W. Eggleston Executive Intern in Association Management.  Swain is originally from Portland, Oregon, and is earning her Doctorate of Pharmacy and Masters in Public Administration degrees with expected graduation in 2010.

Swain is currently serving as president-elect of the Drake APhA-ASP chapter and a DRxUGS (Drake Pharmacy Unified Group of Students) Board of Trustee member. She also served as a student delegate to the IPA House of Delegates in 2007.  Swain is a member of Phi Delta Chi and Phi Lambda Sigma.

"The IPA staff looks forward to Steph's contributions and the insight she will bring to our staff this summer.  One of her first projects will be to update the Iowa Pharmacy Foundation program, Katy's Kids," said Kate Puetz, Vice President of Professional Affairs.

The Max W. Eggleston Executive Internship in Association Management is a twelve-week program held each year during the summer months in the office of the Iowa Pharmacy Association.  The program is coordinated under the direction of the professional services division of IPA.  The internship is possible through contributions given to the Iowa Pharmacy Foundation in memory Max W. Eggleston, R.Ph., Waverly, Iowa.
