FAQ
Question: I already have a bachelor’s degree. What do I need to know?
Answer: A number of students who have earned bachelor’s degrees apply to Drake’s professional program. Drake seriously considers students who have earned degrees in any field. All students still need to complete the prerequisite course requirements by the term listed on the chart here. Students can enroll at Drake to complete any missing prerequisites, but there is no special consideration given to students already at Drake. Prerequisite courses may be completed at any accredited institution. It will still take four years to earn the PharmD because of the sequence and number of the professional- program course requirements plus rotations.
Financial aid in the form of grants and scholarships is limited for students who have already earned degrees. The U.S. and State of Iowa government grant funds do not extend to degree holders. Loans are available, and more information about loans can be found at http://www.choose.drake.edu.
