Preceptors – Specialty Care Practice
Specialty Care experiences give the student an opportunity to gain insight and knowledge in the application of pharmaceutical care principles in focused practice settings. Specific attention is given to the identification, resolution and prevention of drug related problems. While each Specialty Care rotation possesses a variety of characteristics, students are expected to demonstrate an understanding of the practice functions required and the professional contribution provided by the specialty care environment. Examples of this type of experience include pediatrics, oncology, infectious disease, custom compounding and home health care.
