Pre-Pharmacy Requirements

Supplemental Instruction

What do I need to know about blueView?

  1. When blueView was installed in January 2007, all passwords were reset to each individual's birthday (mmddyy).  Any facutly/staff member or student who has not reset his or her password since January should reset it by going here:  http://www.drake.edu/it/services_support/password-gateway.php

  2. Whether or not you have reset your password yourself, you should log in and familiarize yourself with blueView so you can competently assist students who experience difficulties when registering.

  3. Familiarizing yourself with blueView should be done before registration begins (April 4) so you may be able to answer student questions.

  4. The direct link to MyDUSIS will cease to exist after July 2007.  The only access to registration that anyone will have is through blueView.  Also, the only access to entering and viewing grades will be through blueView.

  5. There are two ways students can access registration via blueView:

    1. Student Services tab via Registration Tools channel

    2. Home tab via MyDUSIS channel

  6. Do NOT log in directly to MyDUSIS and blueView at the same time.  Doing so triggers a built-in security feature, causing you to receive "Time Out" messages.

  7. Students are encouraged to verify their password works AND to familiarize themselves with blueView from the computer they plan to use to register.  This is the best way to ensure that they will not e hindered by firewalls or certain computer configurations, etc.
