  • A 14 month certificate program developed jointly by Drake University and the nonprofit community through the leadership of Vernon Johnson from The Directors Council and PACE Juvenile Justice Center and a grant from Pioneer Hi-Bred International
  • Graduated Series I, the first cohort of nonprofit participants graduated in April of 2005
  • Series II began in October of 2005 and participants graduated in December of 2006

Sammons Enterprises, Inc., parent company of Des Moines-based Sammons Financial Group, has donated $1 million to Drake University for the Sammons Endowed Professorship in Actuarial Science, a program that supports a new or existing professor of actuarial science and will be used to retain or attract outstanding faculty members.
