At DuPont Pioneer, Cassie Edgar serves as director of Platform Operations. Pioneer is the world’s largest developer and supplier of advanced crop genetics, providing high-quality seeds and services to farmers in more than 90 countries. The Platform Operations teams at Pioneer are responsible for delivering business-wide global governance, program management and resource planning. In her role, Cassie leads teams to create and manage product and technology development plans, including contract, trait purity and intellectual property strategy requirements.

Since joining Pioneer in 2000, Cassie has held positions in research and legal functions, including intellectual property counsel, senior regulatory counsel and director of agriculture biotechnology program management.

Cassie is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s executive education general management program, obtained her J.D. from Drake Law School, holds a master’s degree focused on biomathematics from North Carolina State University and a bachelor of science in molecular genetics from The Ohio State University.

In her free time, Cassie enjoys cooking, entertaining friends and spending time with family. She also supports DuPont Pioneer community outreach efforts to get young girls interested in the STEM fields of study and serves on the finance council for the Diocese of Des Moines.
