The morning program will discuss the current state of climate change policy at the federal, state, and local level and the role climate will play in future political campaigns and agendas. New Republic editors will moderate a series of headline interviews with national and local government leaders as well as a panel discussion that will focus on climate issues in Iowa. Secretary of Agriculture and former Governor of Iowa Tom Vilsack has been invited to headline the event, and additional speakers will be announced soon. The event is underwritten by the League of Women Voters.
